Jamboree-on-the-Air, or JOTA, is the largest Scouting event in the world. It is held annually the third full weekend in October. The History of the 146.940 Repeater in East Tennessee

On July 29th TEMA will do the damage assessment class I spoke with Todd if you are going to attend the class from TEMA please advise me by Wed I am going to do a cover sheet for all and send in !!! For the W4VEC team , we will be testing this month, 3rd Thursday at King Family Library , 408 High St. Sevierville Tn ,we have 4 applicants for sure that will be testing !! DX Code Of Conduct
I will listen, and listen, and then listen again before calling.
I will only call if I can copy the DX station properly.
I will not trust the DX cluster and will be sure of the DX station's call sign before calling.
I will not interfere with the DX station nor anyone calling and will never tune up on the DX frequency or in the QSX slot.
I will wait for the DX station to end a contact before I call.

FCC and OSHA Release Communications Tower Best Practices Guide
The FCC and OSHA have announced the release of a free publication, Communications Tower Best Practices Guide. While aimed more at those who tend commercial communication towers, the guide offers guidance applicable to the Amateur Radio community and contractors working on Amateur Radio antenna support structures.
